Sutton station in on Sunday 20th June 1954. Note the wartime
black and white stripes are still discernable. These were an attempt to prevent
people walking into obstructions during the blackout. The train was a
Carshalton - Margate excursion (Carshalton Athletic Football Club
supporters' outing) and the engine is N
class º31409.
