Holmwood is located between Dorking and Ockley. It is a very basic station, which at the time of the earlier photos on this page was still semephore signalled, although they were normally left cleared and the cabin switched out. Due to the resignalling scheme in the area, the cabin was abolished in August 2004, with new colour light signals having been installed.

Looking through the road bridge towards Dorking in 2005 as a Horsham train approaches. A not-yet-commissioned new colour light signal can be seen on the left and there are now new lamps which are painted in Southern colours.

The traditional LBSCR wooden waiting shelter on the up platform on 25th July 2009. The windows are now out, presumably as an anti-vandal precaution for this modern age we live in!

The poor old Signalbox, no longer required for its original purpose and closed on 27th August 2005, sitting forlornly on the up platform, its work now done from a panel installed in Three Bridges Power Signalbox.
